I converted a camera file to make it easier to edit. The picture and audio are fine, but I am not sure whether the GPS/IMU metadata is still there.
What is the quickest sanity check before I delete the original?

Do not delete the original. Test the converted file in the telemetry tool/editor you plan to use and compare it against the source. A successful video transcode does not prove the auxiliary metadata survived.

We will add a metadata-preservation checklist to the site. The safe rule is simple: archive the camera originals until the final project and telemetry overlays are complete.
