I know the GPS remote can collect movement data for DJI Mimo dashboards. What I am trying to understand is where the useful data lives for later desktop editing.
Should I archive anything besides the camera files?

I would archive the camera media plus any remote/app activity data associated with the session. Do not assume a later rendered video is a complete telemetry archive.

For DJI workflows we will document the exact capture setup and where the data is sourced, because 'the camera supports a dashboard' does not always mean every desktop editor can read the same data directly.
