Action-camera menus now offer several 'high dynamic range' or flat-looking options, but they are meant for different workflows.
What is the simplest decision tree for someone who mainly publishes to YouTube?

Start with the delivery target and how much grading you want to do. If you want the fastest conventional SDR workflow, a standard profile may be easiest. Log is mainly useful when you plan to grade.

We will make a capture-to-delivery chart rather than treating HDR, HLG and Log as interchangeable settings.
