My route overlay sometimes draws a straight line between two valid sections after the camera was off.
Should the editor interpolate across the gap or break the route into separate segments?

For an honest route display I would break the line across a real recording/data gap rather than imply travel along a path that was never recorded.

Interpolation is fine for tiny sample gaps, but a camera-off interval is a different case and should be visible in the data logic.
