360-to-2D reframing: export once or keep changing the view in the editor?

For travel videos I may change the virtual camera direction several times after the rough cut. Exporting a reframed intermediate too early makes revisions slow.

Is keeping the 360 source live in the project worth the extra processing load?

If your system can handle it, keeping the source live is much more flexible. An intermediate can still make sense when performance is poor or the rest of the project does not understand the 360 media.

This is exactly why we will benchmark both workflows: direct 360 editing versus an early intermediate render. The best choice depends on revision flexibility, hardware and final quality.
