I am testing 8K 360 footage on a laptop. Native playback is the bottleneck long before effects.
Do you prefer Resolve's internal optimized/proxy workflow or creating reusable proxy files outside the project?

Either way, I would keep the 360 original untouched and confirm the conform back to full resolution before final export.

Internal proxies are convenient for one project. External reusable proxies make sense when the same source is going into several edits.
