I am mixing normal action-camera clips with 360 shots. I would prefer not to finish the 360 view in one application and then start the real edit in another unless necessary.
What should I look for in an editor that claims to handle both?

We will use those criteria in the 360 editor comparison, including VSDC's direct Insta360 path and workflows for other 360 sources where an intermediate may still be required.

Native import, reframing controls, proxy performance, correct metadata/color handling and the ability to revise the virtual camera after the main timeline changes.
