HERO13 GPS in the mountains: why do some clips have fewer useful samples?

On an open road my telemetry looks stable, but on mountain runs I sometimes get sections that are less useful for a route or speed overlay.

Before blaming the editor, what capture-side checks are worth doing?

I would check whether the camera had a good satellite lock before the important take and whether the environment had a clear enough view of the sky.

Also compare several untouched clips from the same session. If the weak section exists in the source data, changing editors will not reconstruct missing GPS points.

Exactly. Our troubleshooting guides will separate capture problems from parsing/sync problems so users do not waste time fixing the wrong stage.
