I shoot 360 because I do not want to decide the camera direction while riding. For the final video I only need a normal 16:9 frame.
Do you prefer reframing first and editing second, or keeping the 360 source inside the editor for as long as possible?
360 video workflows
I prefer to delay destructive conversion when possible. If the editor can work from the 360 source, you keep more freedom to change the view later without repeating the whole workflow.
Editing workflows
That is also the workflow we want to test. VSDC is particularly relevant here because its recent Insta360 workflow is designed around direct editing/reframing instead of forcing an early intermediate render. We will compare quality, speed and metadata retention.
