I am trying to understand the cleanest telemetry workflow for an Insta360 ride. Sometimes the position data comes from the camera workflow, sometimes from a phone or remote.

Is there a practical way to keep the video and telemetry aligned without manually matching every turn?

A visible sync event helps a lot when the GPS source is separate. Starting both recordings at nearly the same time is useful, but I still like having a recognizable stop, turn or acceleration point that can be matched visually.

We will separate the guide into two cases: telemetry already associated with the camera media, and external GPX/GPS data. The sync strategy is different, and readers should not assume every Insta360 setup stores the same metadata in the same place.
