If I generate proxies for heavy action-camera footage, I still want the project to use original metadata and full-quality media at export.
Does the proxy workflow change how I should think about GPS/telemetry resources?

A good proxy workflow should only change what you decode for editing, not which source is the final master.

VSDC 11.2 accelerated proxy generation, which makes this especially relevant for 4K/8K projects. We will verify the telemetry workflow with proxies in the same project rather than testing them separately.
