If the story is one camera, one song and a few cuts, I stay in the camera app. Multiple cameras, custom graphics or careful color sends me to desktop.

I rotate batteries and keep the spare warm rather than leaving everything exposed to the cold.

I also leave longer static holds. The ability to move the view does not mean the viewer wants it moving all the time.
